With a sense of pride, his head held high
Walks the faithful companion,
by his master‘s side
Forever alert to his loved one‘s needs
His loyalty so unconditional
to the hand that feeds.
From morn to dusk in sun or shower
He awaits his master‘s return
every passing hour
With an exciting cry his master he hails
His unending joy express his trails.
With looks so innocent and affection filled face
Craves for a pat or may be a handshake
Feels rewarded, assured, loved and elated
Like a gallant hero returning home undefeated
May it be Rusty, Rex, Tito or Trend
Can man ever find a more faithful friend?
