Patna, 05 Oct 2015: The BJP will ban cow slaughter if it wins the coming assembly polls, said Sushil Kumar Modi, senior party leader who is considered a strong contender for chief minister’s post.
“We will ban cow slaughter if we formed the government in Bihar,” tweeted Sushil Modi, who was deputy chief minister when his party BJP was coalition partner of the ruling Janata Dal United of chief minister Nitish Kumar.
The BJP leader also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had saved the lives of thousands of cows by stopping their cross-border smuggling.
“The BJP will improve the life of ‘gau-palak’ by protecting cows,” he said on Monday.
