New Delhi, 08 July 2015: Actor-turned-politician Hema Malini has provoked fresh outrage on social media with her tweet this morning blaming the father of the 2-year girl Chinni who was killed in an accident last week in Rajasthan involving Hema’s Mercedes car.
“My heart goes out to the child who unnecessarily lost her life and the family members who have been injured in the accident. “How I wish the girl’s father had followed the traffic rules – thn this accident could have been averted & the lil one’s life safe!”, tweeted Hema Malini this morning.

On 2nd July, her speeding Mercedes crashed into a Maruti Alto in which Harsh Khandelwal was travelling with his family. Khandelwal’s two-year-old daughter Chinni was killed and his six-year-old son suffered fractures in both arms and both legs. Others in the car, including his wife, were injured. Hema Malini had sustained forehead injuries. It is alleged she left the place for a private hospital without enquiring about the injured persons in the Alto car. The little girl died on the spot as she was not taken to hospital on time.
Hours after the accident, her driver was arrested for rash driving.
Hema Malini’s tweet blaming Khandelwal for the death of his daughter has angered people on the social media.
