Farmers have been demanding loan waiver and drought relief fund

IndiaTomorrow.net
New Delhi, April 22: In a desperate bid to draw the attention of the central government, drought-hit Tamil Nadu farmers drank urine at Jantar Mantar near the Parliament House here on Saturday.

They have been protesting here for the last 40 days. They have resorted to various forms of protest in these days — from wearing human skulls around their necks to conducting mock funerals. One day, they even stripped themselves near the Parliament.

Their main demands are loan waiver and drought relief fund.
