New Delhi, July 8: In second such incident in Delhi in less than three months, a gang of self-styled Gau Rakshaks allegedly attacked a group of six men who were carrying buffalo calves on Saturday.

According to ANI news agency, the mob also vandalized the six vehicles in which the cattle were being taken. The incident occurred in Baba Haridas Nagar area of Delhi.

“One of the drivers Ali Jaan received major injuries while the rest have been discharged from the hospital,” said the agency adding that the police have registered an FIR on the complaint of Ali Jaan’s son.

On Friday itself, a group of civil leaders had released a draft law to check mob lynching.

In April this year, three Muslims were assaulted by a similar mob of Gau Rakshaks in Kalkaji area of the National Capital.
