Lucknow, Feb 11: The Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance on Saturday released its Common Minimum Program which it will implement if it won the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The alliance has promised Rs 1000 as monthly pension to one crore poor families and free homes to 10 lakh poor families of Dalits and backwards. The alliance has also promised that minorities and backwards will get share in welfare schemes of the state government as per their population.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi released the Common Minimum Programme in a joint press conference here today.

Promises in Common Minimum Program
— Free smart phones to youths
— Job guarantee to 20 lakh youths through skill development

— Loan waiver for farmers
— Cheap power to farmers
— Proper rate of crops

— Rs 1k monthly pension to 1 crore poor families
— Day meal in Rs 10 for urban poor
— 33% reservation to women in govt jobs and 50% in local bodies

— Electricity, water and road to every village in 5 years

— Free cycle to all girl students and all meritorious boy students from Class 9 to 12

— Free home to 10 lakh poor families of Dalits and backward classes

— 4-lane road will connect every district
— Metro in six major cities

— Share of minorities and backwards in welfare schemes as per their population

— Modernisation of police for fast and effective action.
