IndiaTomorrow.net,

Lucknow, Feb 12: Hundreds of people including students and social activists took out a protest march in the state capital on Sunday seeking justice for JNU student Najeeb Ahmed, who mysteriously disappeared in October last year from his university hostel room in Delhi, a day after his scuffle with some members of ABVP, youth wing of the ruling BJP. Students have since been protesting inside JNU and outside.

The march in Lucknow was led by Najeeb' mother Fatima Nafees. Several student leaders from JNU also took part in it. The march started from Parivartan Chowk and concluded at the Gandhi Pratima. Holding placards with messages, the marchers were shouting slogans against the government as well as political parties for not making it an issue of election campaigns in the state.

Similar protest march was held in Najeeb's hometown Badaun in the state on 8th Feb.
