Gorakhpur, Aug 17: The inquiry report of Gorakhpur District Magistrate has found two doctors – principal Dr Rajeev Misra and anaesthesia department head Dr Satish Kumar – responsible for the shortage of oxygen supply at the Baba Raghav Das Medical College leading to several deaths of children in the last 10 days. The DM’s report has not indicted Dr. Kafeel Khan, the only doctor sacked by the Yogi Adityanath government, for the deaths at the hospital.

According to NDTV report, the inquiry report of DM Rajeev Rautela has also hinted corruption in oxygen purchase at the hospital and recommended deeper probe.

The DM’s report goes contrary to the repeated public stand of the state BJP government of Yogi Adityanath that oxygen supply did not cause any death at the hospital and also its decision to hold Dr Khan guilty and sack him.

The state government has already suspended the Principal Dr Rajeev Misra.
