Mumbai, 04 Jan 2015: “I wish young buds of today think of opting for a carrier in Science in the coming future with a vision to be innovative in their thought and acting for the eradication of diseases to serve the human being,” said former President and Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalaam while inaugurating the Children Science Congress here in the Mumbai University Complex today.
Dr. Kalaam said I see the young fellows in future as new scientists engaged in different disciplines of Science. He also asked the children present there to repeat following lines with him:
“I am born with potential, goodness and trust, Ideas in dream, greatness and confidence and wings of vision, therefore ready to fly and take off.”
Dr. Kalaam reiterated that technology is the backbone of future building.
He said children of today will have to play a great role in solving the problems of humanity at large and to generate awareness in this regard events like National Children Science Congress are an apt forum for visualising such dreams to achieve excellence in their actions embedded with clear vision.
Dr. Kalaam also felicitated nine Children from across the country with the INFOSYS awards for their innovations on this occasion.
