New Delhi, April 29: The Delhi Police have recruited 964 new constables – 433 of them are from the North-East. Their Passing Out Parade was held here on Friday. Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, received guard of honour at the parade.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji has encouraged Delhi Police to be more smart, modern & cosmopolitan. Delhi Police has done a great job to secure Delhi,” said Rijiju in a tweet on Friday.
“Delhi Police Passing Out Parade with 433 Constable recruits from North-East out of 964. This makes Delhi Police more cosmopolitan character,” he said.
