New Delhi, 16 Sep 2014: People had voted for BJP and Narendra Modi in May this year as they wanted a change for development. They had not imagined that the party with two-third victory will get indulged in hate campaigns rather than investing all its efforts and cadres in development and uniting the society for a new progressive India. Disappointed as they did not find any relief, or even signals of it, from inflation, corruption and employment in first 100 days of Modi regime, people in the country have showed their anger through EVMs on 13th Sep by-election for 33 Assembly seats in nine states.

The latest trends and leads of the results by 11:15 am today show that rather than gaining, BJP is losing its own seats it had won in last election. Out of 33 seats, BJP is leading only on 12 seats with a loss of 14 seats. Out of 11 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, BJP is losing on 9 seats to rival Samajwadi Party. BJP is also losing some seats to Congress in Rajasthan and Gujarat where it had swept in the May election.

Today’s results have sent a very loud and clear message: People want development, education, employment and alleviation of poverty. Hate campaign cannot fill empty stomach.
