The circus had been closed for more than a week and these magnificient creatures were waiting to be taken to their new venue. Chained on the legs and the hot sun above made their lives very difficult. Why don't the caretakers understand that elephants have to be placed in the shade?

A usual sight in Kolkata, it is now a burden. Though the rickshaw is still the most slowest form of transport, people love it, due to its affordability. And if the Government is still hell bent on removing it from the streets, they better prepare a plan to provide alternate means of livelihood for the rickshaw pullers.
